Seremban

Joint Installation 12/7/1997
LC Seremban Central, LC Kuala Pilah, LC Bahau  

The Region 9 Chair Chew Boon Chew and Zone 18 Chair Navin Khandhar  came a-calling that I should visit the Seremban Lions.  They sound so enthusiastic, I should not fail them. I decided to do some background check on the club’s “resume” before my visit. I had used the Clubs' M & A Report and the feedbacks from my RC and ZC. This way, I could touch base with the members and compliment them on their successes. The visit would be more meaningful as the club would be impressed and know that the DC was not there just for a courtesy visit.

RCC (Leo Clubs) Chong Chin Teck drove us to Seremban together with IPDG Sam A Leong and his lovely wife Molly. As we were engrossed in casual conversation we were somehow lost in Seremban. I had to call Zone Chair Navin Khandhar for directions to the venue. 

We managed to find the venue at 4.30 pm. It was a fruitful trip as I had looked forward to the joint installation of the three Lions Clubs from Region 7, namely the LC of Kuala Pilah, the LC of Bahau, the LC of Seremban Central. 

Before the evening function, we were taken around the town for local fare and I managed to forge life-long friendship with a number of the members in Seremban.
