Joint Exhibition Projects Blood Donation & Presentation - 7/3/1998
The Lions and PDRM jointly organized an exhibition of road safety, anti-dadah, and crime prevention at the Sunway Pyramid. In conjunction with this exhibition, we carried out a blood donation campaign that successfully collected 100 bags of blood.
We presented RM60,000 to charity homes and to 16 individuals police families who suffered injuries in the course of duty. The money was raised from the previous Larian Amal.
The projects were carried out in line with the MOU signed between District 308B and Royal Malaysian Police in 1991.
LIONS DAY WITH THE ROYAL MALAYSIA POLICE
District 308B and the Royal Malaysian Police signed an MOU in 1991 to cement the cooperation of the Lions Clubs and PDRM to work together to carry out joint projects for the benefit of the community both organizations serve. Both the Lions and PDRM have a common interest in areas to promote good government and good citizenship (which was one of the Lions Objects).
