Tangkak
Tangkak is the town linked to the famous Gunung Ledang. Centuries ago, legend has it that the most beautiful princess resided there. A smitten Sultan Mahmud Shah was unsuccessful in winning her hand in marriage despite sending his top warrior to Gunung Ledang.
Legeng aside, I had a fruitful meet-up with members of the Lions Club of Tangkak. While the club did organize activities, I noted that the members were not well-orientated with Lionism. This was particularly apparent during the Q and A session.

As the District Governor, it was my responsibility to enlighten the members that the Lions fellowship empowers volunteers to serve their communities, meet humanitarian needs, encourage peace and promote international understanding.
