Health Screening & Eye Testing
Ever since the challenge by American icon Helen Keller to Lions International to be “Knights of the Blind” in 1925, eye testing has been given special attention by the Lions Clubs throughout Malaysia. On the morning of 19th October 1997, I attended one such programme at the IOI Mall in Puchong. The Health Screening and Eye Testing were organized by the Lions Club of Petaling Jaya Metro.

Many early shoppers took advantage of the free health screening and eye testing that were conducted at the main foyer of the mall.
I commended the LC of PJ Metro for securing a venue that would not only highlight the projects of the Lions clubs but more importantly, create awareness amongst the public of the need for regular check-ups.
Another feather in the cap for the LC of PJ Metro.
