On 19th December, I attended the Taiping Bunga Raya Lions Club Installation Banquet. I was invited to install Lion President Ng Swee Chin and his Board of Directors at the Legend Inn. The LC of Bunga Raya has quite a reputation – it had Past Presidents namely Dato’ Hussain Mohamed Osman and Ivan Tio Joon Guan. They were made Honorary Presidents and both turned out to support the occasion. I was surprised to learn that most of the guests were non-Lions and yet they were present to support the Lion’s cause.
